The Cauldron Bids Farewell to Two Founding Members

We at The Cauldron would like to announce the departure of two of our founding members - Manouk Roberts (Founder and former Artistic Director of Dance) and Dana Bezemer (Former Head of Production). Both were absolutely fundamental in getting The Cauldron set up and off the ground and we are forever grateful for their hard work and passion in creating a foundation where we can provide more performing opportunities for everyone. Both of these women are stepping away from The Cauldron in order to focus time on their growing careers in the performing arts industry and just because they won’t be active members of the foundation doesn’t mean that you won’t see them around working on projects with The Cauldron in the future!

We’d like to take a moment to celebrate each of them and their contributions to The Cauldron.

Dana Bezmer

Everyone in the Disenchanted! cast called Dana our own fairy godmother, and with good reason! Not only did Dana stage manage and produce our first show, but she also stepped in and filled gaps wherever she could, including lighting design, running around Amsterdam with a moving truck to get our set pieces in the theatre, managing the front of house, performing as head of tech, and so much more! Outside of Disenchanted, Dana kept the team organized and worked hard to set up policies and volunteer roles that the Cauldron would benefit from in order to help us grow. Dana also reviewed budgets and legal for future projects and took the time to make sure that everything was done in an extremely organized manner.

Dana is graduating from UvA this year with a degree in Theatre Science and will be dedicating her time to working in production and stage management professionally and focus on growing her career. Make sure to keep an eye out for Dana when you go see performances around the Netherlands and follow her career by following her on instagram @dana_osl
