Volunteer positions

  • Costume assistant

    • Assist the head of costumes with finding costumes for all members of the cast

    • Assist head of costumes with staying within costume budget

    • Assist head of costumes with creating an overall visual style for the show and sticking with the style

  • Hair design

    • Create a hair look for each actor and decide how this will be executed. Either with the actors own hair which the actor can create themselves, which needs to be done by the hairdresser or by using a wig.

    • Communicate with the director, head of costumes and make-up artist if the visions match with the overall aesthetic of the show.

    • Making an overview of the necessary hair products and wigs needed for each actor and communicating this with the production leader

    • Depending on the budget, create a financial overview of how the budget will be spent or, in case of a more flexible budget, create a list of wigs and hair products needed to execute the artistic vision. This will need to be approved via the production leader in order to be executed

    • Organize meetings to set deadlines and divide tasks with the assistants if present in the production

  • Projection technician

    • Sets up and runs the projections for the show during all the shows

    • Comes to all rehearsals during tech week to practice running the projections during the run throughs

  • Head Technician

    • Is in charge of and oversees the full technical team and communicates with the production lead and stage manager about schedules and technical needs

    • Creates a full technical list equipment necessary for the production

    • Manages deadlines for light, sound and sfx to be present at rehearsals or performances

    • Organizes meetings with the technical team and communicates outcome with the production led

    • Researches new innovative and creative ways to implement new technical developments into productions

    • Create a budget overview of equipment when renting is necessary

  • Carpenter

    • Work with the the set designer and make an overview of material needed to build the set which fits in the budget of the department

    • Create set pieces that need to be build

    • Work with the propmaster to create props which we are not able to buy

    • Help build up the set in the theater
